3 Saturdays of joy, imagination, and earth-loving creativity for kids ages 3–6 in San Luis Obispo.
Join us this August for Little Makers SLO: a magical three-part Saturday series where children explore the joy of crafting with nature and upcycled materials.
Location: Twenty South patio at the SLO Public Market
Dates: August 2, 9, 16, 2025
Time: 9-11am
Cost: $30 drop-in, $80 full enrollment
We are two local mamas who cherish curiosity and sustainability, providing a space for little artists to create, play, and connect! Whether your little one is a budding artist or a first-time crafter, they’ll find delight, discovery, and freedom in every project.

Each session includes:
Hands-on, age-appropriate crafts using repurposed materials
Nature-inspired activities that encourage eco-awareness
A nurturing, screen-free environment led with warmth and care
Treasures to take home and memories to hold onto
Please note: This is a caregiver-and-child experience. A parent or trusted adult must remain with their child for the full duration of the session.

Jennifer Young
Jennifer is a photographer and entrepreneur who loves creating art and experiences that bring people together and encourage growth, self-expression, and well-being. After years of traveling the world photographing people and places along the way, she’s now happily rooted in Shell Beach with her husband Josh and their son Lyric.

Nia James Starr
Nia and her little family moved to SLO after 15 years in New York City where she was a visual designer for many years before pivoting her career to solving sustainability issues. Originally from San Diego, she loves being back on the west coast and exploring California’s incredible beauty!
